Weight and Length
Emory has not been officially weighed or measured this month. Her next official check-up will be at 12 months
Clothing Size
She is mostly wearing 12 month clothes now
Diaper Size Emory is still wearing size 3 diapers and size 4 diapers at night
Sleep
Sleep has still been perfect! She still falls asleep around 7 and only wakes up around 6:30 or 7:00am. It has been very easy to get her to go down for at bedtime and for her naps. She just rolls over on her tummy and is out. Her naps at home are still going great. She's still taking 2 naps a day and they usually last about an hour and a half each. Her naps at daycare are still terrible, but next month we are actually starting a new daycare. The new daycare puts all of the kids on the same schedule, so I am hoping that will help her nap better. Overall, we are very blessed to have a child that sleeps so well.
Eating
I am still pumping and giving her a bottle. She has 4 bottles a day. This month we have continued to try new foods, and we are in the process of moving away from the pureed baby foods, to food with more texture. She really likes yogurt, peas, ravioli, pasta, bread, and puffs. She enjoys feeding herself, and was actually starting to get frustrated when we tried to feed her the baby food. We did give her a little bit of peanut butter this month. She didn't have any reactions, so fingers crossed that she doesn't have a peanut allergy. Now that she is eating more solid foods, she is starting to eat with the other kids during snack time at daycare. Martin went to pick her up last week and said she was stealing another kid's Cheerios when she wasn't looking. She loves to eat!

Favorite Activities/Milestones
She is still crawling and pulling up all the time. She loves to stand up, but she has to be holding onto something. At the beginning of the month she started a new kind of crawling. Martin called it her "gangster crawl". She would crawl like normal, but she would straighten one leg all the way out to her side.
This month she started waving. She will now wave hi and bye. She will also make a touchdown sign. Martin says "TOUCHDOWN" and Emory sticks both hands straight up over her head. I love it!!!
She also is trying to walk, but once again she has to be holding onto something. She has a toy that she can push and walk with. She looks a little awkward when she walks with it, but she is starting to get the hang of it!
She loves to mumble a lot, and she says mama all the time.
Every month her personality starts to develop a little more. This month she decided to show off a little bit and make every one laugh. She would roll on the floor, kick her feet and laugh. Once every one started laughing she did it all over again. She loves to have the spotlight on her already!
She also had another tooth come in. She now has 4 teeth on the top and 4 on the bottom.

Month 10
This month I made a trip to Albuquerque, New Mexico for a pharmacy conference. I was gone for 5 days!!! I was anxious to leave Emory for that long, but Kathy was nice enough to come into town for 3 days and watch Emory while Martin worked. I know Emory was happy to see her Nana. Of course the trip went well, and Emory had fun here without me. It was actually nice to have some adult time and sleep in later than 6am, but I sure was ready to get home and see her!
Martin's parents came into town this weekend so Scott could run the Warrior Dash. He won in his age group...but who would expect anything else from the Hahn family?
We took family trip this month to Pensacola to see my family. My parents rented a house on the beach and we stayed there Wednesday through Sunday. I was VERY nervous about this trip since the last few times we have taken a trip with her she has cried non stop. To my surprise (and thanks to God for answering my prayers) she did GREAT in the car. My parents knew that I was nervous about this trip, so they surprised us by getting us a DVD player for the car. It was a lifesaver! We borrowed some Elmo DVDs from our neighbors and Emory loved them. They kept her occupied when she started to get restless. The beach house was great and the weather was beautiful. Emory got to meet her other great grandma, my dad's mom. Now she has met all of her great grandparents!! My mom's mom came to visit, my aunt Cindy, and Kevin even came into town for the weekend! The only bad part of the trip was that Emory was sick. Before we left for Florida Emory had a high temp all weekend and started breaking out in little blisters. Turned out that she had hand, foot, and mouth disease. It is a virus so there wasn't much we could do. We thought she was feeling better, but once we got to Florida the doctor called and told us that she had strep throat too! Poor little girl. She was such a trooper considering that she had hand, foot, and mouth disease AND strep throat! And the only thing that could make this worse....I got strep throat too! Despite all the sickness we had a great time. Sage had an awesome time too! She loved swimming in the ocean, and she even tried to get on a lady's paddle board with her. Emory did great on our trip back to Nashville. We made a quick pit stop in Birmingham to let her stretch her legs and say hi to our friends Katie and Jamison.
This month was filled with travel and new milestones. I can't believe she is almost a year old!!!
