Miles: 11 Months

I'm 11 Months Old!!!

Height/Weight
Miles still weighs about 21 lbs

Clothing Size
He is wearing all 12 month clothes. His 12 month PJs are still tight, but he's not quite ready for 18 month ones yet.  He is now wearing size 4 diapers.

Sleep
Sleep is exactly the same as last month. He is still sleeping through the night. He goes to bed between 6:30 and 7:00 still, and lately he has even been sleeping until 6:00. It's sad that 6:00 is considered sleeping-in these days, but I'll take it! His bedtime routine is about the same. We bathe him, give him a bottle, and then put him down. He usually falls asleep while drinking the bottle, but if he doesn't he falls asleep as soon as he is in the crib.

He is still taking 2 naps per day. At home his naps are long. The first nap will be anywhere between an hour or 2. The second one varies, but is usually around an hour. His naps at daycare vary from day-to-day. Some days he will take 2 naps, and other days he just takes one. They usually aren't very long, but at least he is napping.

He is getting much better at putting himself to sleep. After his bottle, I lie him down in the crib and sometimes he is still awake. He will either roll over on his tummy and go right to sleep, or just roll around in the crib for a little bit. He never cries, and eventually he falls asleep.

Eating
This boy LOVES to eat! I am still exclusively pumping and giving him a bottle. He has a bottle when he wakes up, one around 9, one around 1:30, and then one right before bed. We started giving him a sippy cup this month, and he loves it! He doesn't have any issues drinking out of it, and he gets so excited when he sees it.

He is still eating lots of solid foods. We haven't tried too many new foods this month, because we are still waiting until his 1 year appointment. We want to make sure the doctor clears him to start eating more, since he has the dairy intolerance issues.

He loves going out to eat! We took him out to eat at a restaurant by our house, and he did awesome! We brought food for him to eat, and he was perfectly content sitting in his highchair eating.

Favorite Activities/Milestones
1. Miles had the chickenpox this month! I felt SO bad for the little guy. He had spots all over him, and they looked awful. He was out of daycare for at least a week. The good news is that he was happy the entire time. He never seemed uncomfortable or miserable. It could have been much worse.

2. Miles moved up to the infant 3 class this month. We have moved classes multiple times with Emory, but this was one of the hardest moves for me. His teachers in the infant 2 class were WONDERFUL! Miles really took to both of them and when I left him every day it felt like I was leaving him with family. The move to the new class was rough. He cried for the majority of the day for close to a week. Slowly but surely he started getting more comfortable in that room. He still cries when we drop him off, but he usually stops right when we leave.
3. Miles loves to do a little yoga move. He stands on his head and looks at you from between his legs.

Month 10
I was a terrible mom this month and forgot to take his formal 11 month pictures. I'm actually surprised this is the only month that I missed. We had a great month. My parents came down and we took the kid to Cumberland Park and to get ice cream. Miles slept the entire time! We also took them to the park for a picnic, and Miles loved sitting in his highchair enjoying the nice weather. Things are getting busy now that summer is almost over and classes are starting at Belmont. I love watching these kiddos grow.
