Growing So Fast!

Emory is officially two months old! Where has the time gone? My maternity leave is half way over. We are settling into a routine now that the holidays are over and Martin is back at work. Here are some of the things Emory has been doing since my last post.

Emory finally got to wear her favorite outfit....her Gators onesie! She looks SO much better in this shade of orange. She was excited to wear her outfit so she could cheer the Gators on during their bowl game. Unfortunately, the best thing about that game was seeing how cute Emory looked in her outfit. I don't even want to remember how terrible that game was!

Emory is really starting to get a personality of her own. She's still smiling and making the cutest faces.

One of my good friends Dustin came over to visit Emory...she fell asleep in his arms. We also went to visit Shea, Brandon, and baby Hudson. Shea and Brandon live here in Nashville, and they recently bought a new house. I have been dying to go see it, so Emory and I took a trip over to visit them. This was the first time that I have driven anywhere by myself with Emory. They live about 30 minutes away, so it wasn't a long drive...but it was my first time taking her out alone so it felt like a 2 hour trip! She did great on the way there. On the way back she cried most of the way , but I think she was just very very tired. She did get to meet Hudson finally. Hudson is about 6 months old, and he was very interested in Emory. He kept trying to grab her...I think he just wanted to hug her. I can't wait until she is a little bigger so they can play together! They are going to have some great times...just like Shea and I had :)

We finally finished the nursery this weekend (yes it only took us 2 months after she was born!). I will post some pictures of that soon. The weather last week was gorgeous! I decided to take advantage of the weather and take Emory out for a walk. I was even brave enough to take Sage with us. The walk actually went really well, and I think Sage liked having Emory walk with us.

Getting ready to go on our walk...and yes that is Sage's nose in the picture!

Emory's Nana, Martin's mom, decided to come down this week to see Emory. She said she just couldn't take it anymore, and she needed to hold her precious granddaughter...I can't blame her! It was nice having her here. I was able to get some things done around the house, and I know Emory loved all of the extra attention. Emory has some wonderful grandparents.

We got some great pictures of Emory on her 2 month birthday. I will post those pictures this week hopefully.

Having an interesting convo with Allison
