| I'm 14 months old!!! |
So much has happened in the past 2 months.!
Weight and Length Emory weighs a little over 21 lbs. Not sure how long she is now, but we will find out next month.
Clothing Size She is wearing 18 month clothes now.
Diaper Size Emory is still wearing size 3 diapers and size 4 diapers at night
Sleep
Sleep is still going well. She usually wakes up around 6:00 or 6:30
She still takes 2 naps a day when she is at home. At daycare she only takes one nap. Her naps at daycare have been great! She sleeps anywhere between an hour and two hours!
Eating
Emory is completely off breast milk now. She is now drinking regular cows mild from her sippy cup with meals. We also almost have her completely off the bottle. The only bottle she gets is right before bed. We are going to try and get her off that bottle soon, but I don't want to mess up our great bedtime routine.
We started giving Emory a few sweets this month (we don't do this very often). Martin had some powdered donuts and he gave one to Emory. Needless to say she LOVED it! She would take a bite and go "mmmmmm". She has been doing that a lot. When she takes a bite of something she likes she says "mmmmmmm". We also gave her chocolate pudding to help her practice using a spoon. She loved the pudding so much she stopped using the spoon and just started using her hands.
Favorite Activities/Milestones
Her big milestone is WALKING! She started walking at around 13 months. Now she is almost running. Its great! I love watching her walk all around the house. She is getting very independent. We went on a walk with her and Sage, and Emory did NOT want to sit in the stroller. She wanted to walk by herself the entire way. Needless to say, this made for a long 2.5 mile walk.
She still LOVES to wave. She will wave to anyone and everyone, including animals. Speaking of animals, she is really starting to like Sage. She will go sit by Sage, give Sage kisses, wave to Sage, bring Sage toys to play with, and even bring Sage treats. She has learned where we keep the bags of Sage's treats, and she will grab the bag, walk to Sage and try to give her the bag of treats. So sweet.
Like I said before, she is getting very independent, and she loves to imitate everything that we do. She sees me unload the dishwasher, and she will come grab a bowl and put it in the cabinet. She will also try to throw things in the garbage can. Her new favorite household chore is sweeping. When she sees me get the broom out, she instantly takes it from my hands and tries to sweep. Kathy got her a nice broom that is her size, and she loves it.
Emory has never really been interested in books until recently. Now she will grab a book off the shelf, hand it to you, back up and sit in your lap, and let you read to her. For her birthday our neighbors got her a cute pop-up castle, and Emory loves to read in her castle!
She's been such a happy girl! She's curious, into everything, and we are loving this stage!

Months 12-14
Emory continues to change and develop so fast! This is by far the best stage yet! She is constantly smiling, laughing, and giving us her little devious grin. She is a sweet and happy girl!
